A friend of mind just wrote me: "I was just told by the head of distribution at a major fund company that Citi is going to sell its hedge fund unit to Skybridge Capital and that Skybridge is going to turn the unit into a 1099 fund of funds. Translation: they’re going to turn it into a retail offering."
