App Review: Take in the Sunrise

App Review: Take in the Sunrise

Online calendars are a necessity today. Most people gravitate towards Google’s calendar or iCal. But Sunrise is calling to some looking for a scheduler that also scrapes social media. Besides integrating with iCloud, Google or Exchange calendars, Sunrise pulls details from Facebook, Twitter and Evernote.

Users can also populate calendars with quirky options such as moon phases, or favorite team’s at-home days, and the app integrates with Google Maps, along with TripIt, for a client visit—or your upcoming summer road trip. Need more encouragement? It’s free—plus Microsoft recently acquired the app, with promises to maintain current integration.

Okay, so you may not be a morning person. But who doesn’t appreciate a solid sunrise.
