I am currently working as a genetic researcher in a HIV lab. I busted my rump in the navy to acquire the gi bill in order to pay for school. While in school I had many sleepless nights studying for O-chem and bio exams. Now that I am working in the industry, I get paid less than I did when I worked at a movie rental store as an assistant manager. I've been accepted to grad school for genetics and biochemistry. However, I can't afford to go.
I'm tired of being poor. I've decided to put what little sales experience I have to use and have apply to several companies for an FC position. I have receive call backs from AGE and EJ. I'm curious as to what my chances are to get hired and if I'm being foolish in thinking i could get a job as a FC. Why would they want to choose to hire someone without a finance back ground? If hired what should I ask for my base pay while I'm in training.
