So much of what makes a good leader and a successful advisor is dedicating time to improving yourself in order to better serve the needs of your team, your family, and yourself. As I like to say, the happier you are, the more effective you’ll be to everyone.

This week: What I’m Eating

Dr. Oz Drink– We share this health blend with every one of our advisors who attend our workshops or conferences throughout the year. The famous high-fiber, low-calorie drink by Dr. Oz gives you energy along with a healthy twist. For those of you who want to make it at home, here’s the recipe:

Ingredients

Makes 3-4 servings (about 28-30 oz)

  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/4 head of celery
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 1 bunch mint
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 apples
  • 1/4 orange
  • 1/4 lime
  • 1/4 lemon
  • 1/4 pineapple

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Serve and enjoy!

The FastDiet – The pattern for this diet is often known as the 5:2 diet – you eat normally for five days of the week and cut your calories to about 25 percent of your normal intake on two nonconsecutive days of the week. I’ve been following this diet for almost two years now, and I’ve noticed a drastic improvement to my overall health. Not only does it teach you healthy eating, but it helps develop healthier habits that lead to long-term vitality.
