Job hoppers in the financial advisory industry.

The SunAmerica Companies today announced that Stephen Maginn, executive vice president and senior managing director of sales, SunAmerica Retirement Markets, has also assumed responsibility for sales and distribution of SunAmerica Mutual Funds. He has been named Chief Distribution Officer of the SunAmerica Companies.

John Barbo has joined Man Investments in the U.S. where he will assume responsibility for Man's U.S. private client business. Barbo was the head of alternative sales and marketing for Morgan Stanley from 2006.

Woodbury Financial Services, an independent b/d subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group, has named Patrick McEvoy as its new president and CEO. Prior to joining Woodbury, McEvoy was president and CEO of Multi-Financial Securities Corp., a broker-dealer in the ING Advisor Network.

Invest Financial, an independent b/d under the National Planning Holding Network, named Steve Dowden president and chief executive officer. Dowden succeeds Lynn Niedermeier, who retired in July after serving as the firm's president and CEO since 2001. Dowden joins Invest from CUNA Mutual Group, an investment and insurance company serving the credit union industry.
