LPL Financial has named Dan Arnold as its new chief financial officer, taking over for Robert Moore, who was named president and chief operating officer in May. Previously, Arnold served as head of strategy at LPL.

Chip Roame, managing partner of Tiburon Strategic Advisors, has been appointed a trustee of the SA Funds, a family of nine asset class mutual funds advised by Loring Ward. 

The Investment Company Institute has tapped George Shevlin as its new political affairs officer, responsible for the group’s political program. Shevlin has more than 20 years on Capitol Hill, covering tax, financial services, and other business issues. Most recently, he served as executive director and staff director to the House Democratic Caucus.

John Peluso, president of Wells Fargo’s independent broker/dealer arm, has been promoted to president of First Clearing Correspondent Services. First Clearing provides clearing services to broker/dealers. Kent Christian will succeed him as president of Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network.
