LPL Picks Up $220M Team from Raymond James

LPL Financial recently brought onboard a six-person advisory team with $220 million in client assets from Raymond James Financial Services.

Clive, Iowa-based Weissenburger Investments & Financial Planning joined LPL Financial broker-dealer and RIA custodial platforms on Tuesday. Led by founder Tom Weissenburger, the team consists of financial advisor David Olberding and four professional support staff. The firm offers all-inclusive financial planning, ranging from retirement planning and income generation to asset management and asset gathering.

Weissenburger said the move to LPL was motivated, in part, by the firm's technology offerings. "We believe that LPL’s technology will create considerable efficiencies for us in managing our business day to day so that we can spend more time with our clients," he said in a statement.

“Our firm has a highly diverse client base and a hybrid commission- and fee-based business model, and we found that we needed a technological platform that would better suit both our clients and our practice,” he said.
