Guys I have a few questions and I would greatly appreciate being directed in the right way.

First, I know there are financial advisors who sit in large offices and prospect from their desk and then you have financal advisors that sit in a bank branch.

If you work as a bank branch FA, do you have hurdles the same way that say a PMD from Merrill might have. Suppose you work in a chase retail bank as their go to financial advisor, I've heard that they dont prospect and basically new clients walk in the door and hand you business, the downside being that you get a lower payout.

Second is there any position in the financial advisor sphere that involves just a plain salary if you have a bit of experience and either the book is handed to you to help manage.

I really enjoy managing other peoples money but hate the prospecting and hurdles aspect. I would rather take a straight salary and do the same job to be honest.
