I have recieved a offer as a f.a. with AXA securities. They want to start me off at 30k in central NJ. Does anyone have any inside info on the company, the website is not much help. Thanks in advance

Did they not provide you with enough info throughout the interview process?

I've seen a ton of people leaving AXA that were both originally with that side as well as the MONY side.  Call a few of the reps if you can, tenured and rookies, to see what their thoughts are.

AXA INSURANCE… That is what you will be expected to sell- the AXA Equitable Accumulator Plus and Equi-Vest variable annuities. And maybe start them on a monthly Roth IRA IF they have any money left over… Dont let them hoodwink you into believing AXA is anything more than a dressed up insurance firm… Ask them why you only get the company 401K match when you sell Equitable products… Or why you have to pay office expenses to the tune of, for examply, over 250/month for computer and Errors/Omissions insurance… Ah, dont get me started… Have fun with that…

Thanks thats exactly the truth I was looking for. I would have accepted the Metlife offer had I known that they were in the same type of life insurance state of mind. Plus Metlife’s offer was above and beyond what axa had in mind. On the axa interview the guy was basically saying do what ever I want equities/bonds whatever. I should have known better.
