Ms. Twain- I respectfully disagree. Ken Lewis is the a perfect example of what gives everyone in our industry a bad name.

News came out this morning that he is returning 1 million dollars in pay to Bank of America.   If I am correct he still gets to keep around 53 million. I don't understand what makes him different than the robber barons of the past. The CEO pay is out of control. Not because of the free market as some dems would say but because of the THEFT of the common shareholder. Also, the Lehman bankrupcy lawyers have now been paid more than 403 million dollars. What did any preferred or common stock holders get? How about bond holders, what will they end up with? I think we all know the answer.   We make commission and fees to protect our clients wealth when in reality it is stolen every day by the same companies that we invest in. Makes me disturbed to work in this industry at times. Now the republican side of things would have you believe that they all get paid this much because they are sooo good at what they do and the free market bears it. No. No that isn't the case. They get paid this much b/c CEOs sit on each other's board and decide pay for the same people who decided their pay. Where are we in the middle of this? Problem I see is that b/c we and our firms never stepped in, now Obama will and God knows how bad he is going to hurt compensation after he is done.

Ken, please tell your mom to stop posting on this site, it’s for industry professionals only. And while you’re at it, tell her to stop masquerading as Shania Twain, that’s just creepy. Everyone else in the world thinks you’re an egotistical moron who ran a once great company into a sewage pit. You used the company to overcompensate for your small stature and other shortcomings. Most men just buy a Hummer, a Harley or have an affair with a young staffer. Saved America maybe (but that’s only because you’re a boob…just ask Warren), ran BofA into the ground, definitely. A patriot…with patriots like you we should all start learning Chinese cuz we’re screwed. I wish someone would pay me $55 million to be a CEO. Hell, I could probably ruin it just as quick and watch its stock price decline by almost 70% without even really trying. But wait, if you act now I will ruin your company for only $1 million. That’s a savings of 80%, talk about value added…
