I thought of some others:

Since I stopped sucking off Eddie, I haven't once heard anyone give me a lecture about how to sell something.  At Mother Merrill all anyone talks about is how to make money for their clients.

Since I stopped sucking off Eddie, I haven't once had to listen to the Regional Leader suck off some kid that was given  40+ million in assets about why can't everyone be like little Johnny.  NOT ONE FREAKING TIME

Since I stopped sucking off Eddie Jones, not once has a mentor, or manager at Merrill suggested I join a church and blister the congregation with sales tactics.     The Merrill Lynch model is an environment that  puts both the clients and Financial Advisors best interest in-sync.     Eddie Jones is a place that has to rely exclusively on teaching how to sell shit.       Since I left Eddie Jones, I have some ex-"friends" that don't go out of their way to say hello in public places.  But I don't care.  I know, and they know, and every som bitch that comes in this Forum knows, that Merrill Lynch is a much better place to invest money, manage money, and work with your head held high............and Eddie is Jealous.

I just laugh inside and I know, they know, and you all know, they are just a cult.  A blue-collar sales cult.  They are one step above a door-2-door used car salesman, and one step below a financial advisor who actually helps manage the financial affairs of their clients.

Invest with Edward Jones where the A share pop is a way of life... Invest with Edward Jones where a mutual fund advisory program is STILL soon to come... Invest with Edward Jones where you can manage $20million and have 2,000 accounts... Invest with Edward Jones where you can wear a  Polo shirt 5 days a week.. Invest with Edward Jones where 1 out of 10 advisors previously sold cars...

childish–nothing to learn here!

I don’t get it. I just don’t get it.

Does Jones offer a wide variety of "alternative investments?" No.   Do we like mutual funds? Yes.   Do we like A shares? Yes.   Do the majority of us do the right thing for our clients? Yes.   Is Jones perfect? ABSOLUTELY NOT.   You guys really need a hobby...or a psychiatrist.   I've never seen so much hate in my life.

Here is the long and short of it, the next time an advisor leaves your region pay attention to your leaderships (I was in the Leadership) response…Regardless of how valuable the advisor was as a leader, mentor, or producer they are going to be discarded by most “not all” as an idiot for leaving.  I have found more respect for fellow industry advisors outside of Jones then I ever did while there.  This is a top down issue, a leadership issue.  I’m very pleased where I am and I’m glad you are as well, but I’ll warn you if you ever leave your eyes will be opened for the first time.  No hate in my previous post just some observations in my part of the country.
I don’t get it. I just don’t get it.  We know!  We don’t understand how you can suck back the kool-aid and be blindly lead by the nose like a steer to slaughter.

Does Jones offer a wide variety of "alternative investments?" No.  Actually you offer none.   Do we like mutual funds? Yes.  Now there is an understatement!  Actually you prefer only 7 familes.   Do we like A shares? Yes.  It almost seems as if your alphabet stops at A.   Do the majority of us do the right thing for our clients? Yes.  Wasn't  that was the claim in the WSJ ad a number years ago and look what that started. By the way when did the indoctrination I mean training stop claiming that your employer was  the only brokerage firm that did right by their clients?   Is Jones perfect? ABSOLUTELY NOT. When did your employer start telling you that?   You guys really need a hobby...or a psychiatrist.  Us on the "dark side" have several since we stopped knockin' and are able to spend time at home.   I've never seen so much hate in my life. You obviously have no time for reading or watching the news.....
Sorry but I couldn't help myself with the remarks.  I've always stated that if you, or known someone who has gone through a nasty divorce,  you could then understand the lack of feelings we have for your employer.

Are you kidding me!!?!?!?  LOL, it's a company that hired you to work for them, you didn't like and you left.  It wasn't your fairytale lifetime soul mate.  When you leave a company then you are no longer a concern of theirs, why do you care so much about them?

Max,really now…come on…tell it like it is.  You sell cars on the side, don’t you…This green car won’t last long, Hyundi’s been building cars forever, we only have these on the lot…“because we think they’re the best…”

Nov 18, 2007 8:46 pm

Max is right spears…at some point you really gotta just let it go…it’s not healthy to nurse your feelings for Jones like that…

How can we possibly take anything you say seriously when you express yourself so poorly?   I certainly don't want to create an atmosphere where we become grammar nazis, but I'm embarrassed to have to acknowledge you as a former Jones FA.   You're shit is beyond spell-check. You need to repeat the third grade.   Idiot.

just based on the thread title, you knew it would go down to this level quickly…

Nov 19, 2007 3:28 am

Just my luck. I try and get someone "lined out," and I miss something.

However, it's not about a simple mistake here and there. That dude's an idiot, and I'm so relieved he's now indy and can no longer tarnish the reputation of Edward Jones by having his name on the door of one of our offices.   Good riddance, jackass.

Borker boy,

in your "Jones stock picking - ranked high, again?" post, you were negative about Jones.

what gives?
