I have watched this unfold for about 45 days now. Some of the deleted posts were absolutely histerical! I agree that this should be a forum to generate stimulating discussion about this industry and not nit picking. Not very productive but then again I have all I can do to get my book built.

Have you seen the TGP forum.  Those guys are a joke.  If you disagree with Rick or TGP they simply edit your post to be like all the other ass kissers on that forum.  Rick is the only person that posts more and knows less that Put.

At least they let most posts stay on this forum unless you become racially motivated in your rhetoric, or just plain stupid like Put.  At least there aren't two people editing all of the posts on this forum to make them read "Oh Rick, you're the greatest.  I didn't know what term life was until you explained it to me."

In one aspect it is sad but when you think about it its like dealing with washed up brokers with multiple personalities!

It really is too bad, because many people come here looking for advice and ideas. Much that has been posted lately is a bunch of retarded crap.  I’ve started several topics which could have been useful discussions only to have them denigrate into cesspools.   We are supposed to be professionals.

I guess there is only one solution. Post questions and comment in a productive manner. When children want to act like 10 year olds, just ignor.

Personally I dont know if TGP has anything to do with these posts, but if they do I will not waste my time with their childish. I will go check out website and if its they same people then they lost a young bull who makes things happen.

One thing for sure is who ever is incharge of this board needs to put some guidelines on top. Its obvious by peoples actions they need to be guided like a little child.

Suggestions for the rules would be appreciated.

1. If someone asks a iggnorant question dont slam them.

2. If someone gives their opinion dont slam them, make fun of them or their ideas or say something that is an attack or extremly rude.

3. If someone breaks the rules after a few removed posts they will be removed.

4. All members ignor posts or comments that are meant to attract others to their level.

5. This is not a independent vs. firm competition. Both have extremly successful people so dont waste your time trying to say one is better then the other.

6. This is a professional industry so show a bit of class.

7. Members experience ranges from recent GED graduates who are trying to pass series 7 to 40 years vets so be open to different views.

It seems to me I may have hit maturity a few days ago.

I might need an English major to work on my grammer.

Life as a broker and advisor is hard, so lets get along and help one another. TGP and this website have same function to provide knowledge to people in this industry.

Yesterday someone from TGP invited me to join their club. That was a nice genture so for the first time I checked it out. I liked the format and there was some good information.

I am sorry if that has been your experience/perception.  Mine has been different.  I've called them on a number of issues where I didn't agree, and my posts were never edited.

Apparently someone is pretty ticked off that I dared disagree with you(above) on this issue, as they sent me a rather nasty PM.

That's because I am right.  I don't kiss asses and I call a spade a spade.  Rick and TGP are a couple of childish imps.  They talk about the FP forum and how the moderators over there edit every post.  Rick and TGP do the same if you don't agree with them.  Both of those sites tend to have information that leans disporportionately towards one financial services ideal.  This site does the same thing but very few posts are edited on this site because the moderator disagrees with the poster.  Here the moderator only edits incendiary speech or hate speech.  Top Gun and FP are sites that are used for the sheer amusement of the moderators.

Nice to see people maturing over night. Maybe we can focus on business instead of BS.

People in this industry make money with every model and firm so this we or this is better is BS.

I think there needs to be more of lets help others and make a ton of commissions.
