I was told by complex manager at morgan stanley after having multiple interviews that I was having an offer generated and would be hired if I accepted. I was told the offer would be ready in 3 or 4 days and now I haven’t heard from them in over two weeks. Tried calling the office to speak with him but every time I do he is on the phone or not available and I’ve left messages with no response. Has anyone had a similar experience in the hiring process?

Yes. Stay persistant.

Many times they do this as a test to you, because you’ll have to chase clients around the exact same way.

Try calling before his assistant is in. Generally the complex managers will be in earlier. Many complex’s I know do a 7:30 Monday morning meeting with the FA’s.

I did have one that just flat out fell of the map though.

If they’re producing, you could always call in with a 1.5 mil rollover

Haha thanks man, I actually do have a 3mill account that will be coming over as soon as I moved but not sure if he is producing or not. Guess I will keep trying.

Thanks for the suggestion I was going to stop trying until i read your comment so i called and left another message and this time he called back promptly to schedule me to come in again to interview with a current FA this time.

Not a problem. They want you to treat them like a propsect. It makes sense, because if you won’t be willing to follow up and chase the job, you probably won’t be willing to do it with prospects.

Sometime’s they’re just truly busy too. Glad it worked out for you
