I’d like to get input on Ameriprise. I have seen all the negative comments. I have an offer to start as an inside FA, and wanted to get ideas, both positive and negative about the firm. They have had issues in the past, wanted more to get info on what the good and bad points are about working there. I know I will get flooded with negative stuff, anyone have anything good to say? thanks for any ideas and input

Do you have a b.o.b. you’re bringing over? The P1 model is broken, so if you’re coming as P2 you’ll be better off. If you are a newbie, find a different place. There’s really nothing positive to say about P1. 2-3 years ago different story, but with no more marketing budget, good managers being pushed out by new managers who serve giant sized carafes of grape kool-aid and riversouce funds getting shellacked in the past 12 mths there are better options out there.

Thank you...would you email me at [email protected] with more detail on marketing cutbacks, performance, etc. I am doing an inside (phone sales) FA job?

I really appreciate your input...thanks

that means you get to stay inside when you call former AMEX card holders for the 736th time about hiring you as their annuity salesman.

I’m at AMP now and there’s no one in my office with a position like that.  I’m P1 however, a corporate office, perhaps your situation is P2, a franchise office operation?
