I took the 7 & 63 about 5 years ago but recently moved to another state and have found a position with a firm that requires I get a 66. I’ve been using the Dearborn 12th edition study material and disk of exams.  Can anyone tell me what to expect with this exam? Difficulty, greatest percentage of the make up of the exam? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I used Fire Solutions, some of the STC material, and the Dearborn practice CD and studied for about two weeks.  I took the test last friday and passed.  I was told just to read the material over and over and spend a minimal amount of time doing tests and I found that to be the best strategy.  You need to get a good grasp on all of the material because the test questions are vague and very tricky.  I found the test to be frustrating to go through b/c many of the questions were tough to be sure of the right answer unlike the S7.  I got many questions on IA’s and IAR’s, some on B/D, many on USA.  Focus on those topics and read and re-read, trying to find things you might have missed.  I heard Dearborn is good for the S66, you shouldn’t have a problem.  Good Luck!

Hungrygrad,

Thanks I appreciate the info. I've read the material repeatedly and have been taking the exams on the cd over and over primarily focusing on the state & federal regs as well as the USA.  I worked at a B/D for several years so I've got that down. I've found the questions on the cd exams to be very tricky but after awhile it's become more clear just how they word things. I'll be sure to post pass or fail. Sept. 1st!!

I was that 66 cend? I have Dearborn and PassPerfect materials. How much study time did you put in? Are you a good tester?

The Dearborn 66 material is not so good. On a do over, I’d use other material. A good tester, not so sure, but a hard studier.

Way to go Cend!!!  It is a great feeling.

I think the Pass Perfect material is the best representative of material on the test.

Maybe,

I think if I go for another license, I'll use PassPerfect. But right now, I'm sooooooo happy.

It was all a huge relief for me.  I hated the books.  Interacting/prospecting people is fun for me.

Be very happy and proud of yourself!!!!!
