Can anyone explain exactly what the SB Consulting Group is? Also, what can

an analyst on a team in the consulting group expect to make?

Thanks

From memory, and things could have changed, it's SB's managed money arm. It used to be (and may still be) the biggest in the wirehouses due to its time in the biz, dating back to Shearson days.

It is their managed money group.  They analyze and recommend money managers.  They are the largest and first group of its kind.  I believe the research arm is headquartered in Wilmington Delaware.  I worked for a large bank doing similar work.  After four years out of college I was making 100K.  Salary would really depend on your previous experience and location (I was in the southeast).

I think the brand may have extended to some of their advisors who recommend the products, so review the job carfully.
