Hello all,

I am currently studying for the Series 7 (taking it in 5 weeks). I purchased the Pass Perfect Question Databank which contains unlimited topic quizes (Regulations, Trading Markets, etc), and 30 practice tests (135 Qs each).

What I am noticing is that the majority of the questions on the practice quizes are filled with, in my opinion, minute details that I cannot imagine would be tested on the real S7 exam. Please correct me if I am incorrect in my assumption.

Has anyone who is also using Pass Perfect experienced this? I am concerned that the focus on what I perceive to be minutia will take away from my focus of actually-tested material.

Thanks in advance!

I think your claim is an exaggeration. I would say subjects like regulations and trading markets tend to have more details in them because there are lots of rules in these topics. Other topics should have fewer rules and details like options and analysis. No one knows exactly what will be on the test.

Anyone else care to give an account of their experience with Pass Perfect?

I can tell you this much from my perspective, the questions I encountered on the pass perfect series 7 program (quizes and exams) were much harder than what is on the actual exam with exception to the options questions where you have to to add or subtract. None the less, if you’re doing well with PP’s quizes/exams you’ll be fine when you take the 7.

Thank you very much for the response.

Did you use any other study program along with PP, or did you rely solely on it?

My firm provided only PP materials. We also did a wrap up conference call w/ one of PP’s instructors for a week which helped a lot as well. The biggest hurdle for me was the options portions mainly knowing what constitutes a straddle, strangle, and so forth. The key to me passing was memorizing the options chart and drawing it out as soon as I sat for the exam. Also, the suitability questions were pretty challenging even though a few were super easy. I hope this helps you, good luck!!
