Hello my name is Christopher Winner and I am 25 years old. My dream is to become a registered rep. I have a high school diploma and am going back to college. I have no work experience in the financial industry, all my work experience is in general labor(landscaping). How do I get my foot in the door? I am currently studying to take the Series 7 exam. All the job openings I find in the financial industry, you have to have experience. Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for you time and have a great day.

Hey Newbie  - I suggest looking for an internship - even an unpaid one. It's a good way to get some experience on your resume & start networking.

Eric,

I am in the works of getting an intership. Its kinda hard becasue I don't have any working experience in this field. I spoke with a gentlemen last week who may have a spot for me. I hope to find out whats going on with it early this week. Thanks for the input!
