Hi All,

I've been reading a lot of the posts on here over the past few weeks as I have been going through the hiring process with MSSB. I am in the final stages of the hiring process and have the option to join a team within MSSB or go at it alone. I realize there are some sound reasons to choose either, so let me give you a little bit of background...

I am mid-20s, an MBA graduate working in the political consutling scene. I will be relocating to the Atlanta area for this gig, and while i have several professional contacts in the Atlanta area, I don't have a deep established network there yet. I realize that my age may work against me in this industry, thus my reason for looking to joining a team. I would be working with a few gray haireds with long-term industry experience, one of whom just inherited his FILs book of business. I also realize that by going at it alone, if I am successful, I will be a more valuable asset to a firm. From a newbie's perspective, I see the pros and cons, but would love those more seasoned in the industry to weigh in.

Thoughts?
