hello Mr. Wet Blanket

This is Paul Allen with Edward Jones, I just wanted to get out of the office and meet some people.  How long have you lived in the neighborhood.......wow, you must love it here   Are you familiar with Edward Jones?.......thats great, i'm glad that youve heard great things about us   I dont want to take up too much of your time, but I'd like to contact you if I come across something that might help you meet your goals. Whats the best contact number?     Ok, well have a great day Mr. Blanket

uhh…

That sounds like the pitch of someone whose working while you've spent at least the last 15mins goofing off on an internet message board.

I’ve already been door knocked by EJ - but luckily only my wife was home at the time.  He was polite when he found out that I’m ‘in the business’ and left his card in case I wanted to join EJ.

Maybe unrelated, but my wife now has the impression that all EJ guys are awful in bed.  I don't know where she heard that...

No disrespect but A COMPLIANCE person isn’t in “the business”

Stopping business is still "in the business."    Anyways, she only told him I worked for XYZ firm...so he assumed.
