Hey. I'm new here, 19, live in Arizona, and wanted to say hello. Also, I was wondering if this forum had any stock brokers or people that are familiar with buying and selling stock that could kind of take me under their wing and help me get into it. Thanks (:

Where abouts in AZ?  I am thinking about opening a second office in the Phoenix area where I used to live.  We do alot of tax work and use that as an entry into bringing in investment work.

Ok here is lesson number one.  Very few "stock brokers" know anything other than the very basics behind picking stocks.  Then, when they do buy a stock, very few know when to sell.  So lesson #1 would be, do not go to stock brokers to ask about how to buy a stock.  They haven't a clue since most are simply salespeople.

Lesson #2.  Learn charting.  You don't need Wall Street for that and in fact the morons on Wall Street will try to tell you it doesnt work.  That's because they havent a clue how to do it and it makes them unneccessary.  There are a minimum of basic patterns to learn. Then you need to learn to understand the importance of volume.  Understand volume, it is critical.

The best place to learn technical analysis is Philsgang.com  He has a free class coming up on 9/10.

And by the way, I am not affiliated with Phil in any way what-so-ever.  I am simply a fan.
