Does anyone have a favorable/unfavorable opinion of Capital Analysts Inc.  as an independent platform?

My impression thusfar is decent product mix/decent technology, not cutting edge.  What has impressed me is that they seem very rep focused and access to managment is great.

I have been interviewing with a firm who uses their platform and is looking for a new partner.

Thanks for any insights...

Let me see if I have this right.

1.  Decent product mix
2.  Decent technology
3.  Very Rep focused
4.  Great access to management
5.  An opportunity to join a firm that uses them

Why would you not want those things?

I do want those things…It is in the interest of the current partners to accentuate the positives to me.   I didn’t know if I was missing something that someone else familiar with the firm might know…

I'm very familiar with Capital Analysts. The company used to be great and was very rep focused--I stress was. The new CEO is a not rep focused at all and they have recently patched together a bunch of mismatched technology. Best to go to Commonwealth if you want rep focus and decent technology or LPL if you want leading edge technology, but not great rep focus. Stear clear of this company at least for the next few years.

One other thing, they do not work well with women. None of their top advisors are female--they all left shortly after the new CEO took over. He doesn't work well with intelligent women.
