Is anyone here familar with Bear Sterns Private Client Group? I have never heard much about it or seen it discussed here. I was wondering what the general consensus on it was in these forum. Any help is appreciated.

Bear Sterns is a Great Firm.

Usually you start as a cold caller for a senior broker. If you do well, they will sponsor you for your series 7. Once you're licensed you're expected to open 50 accounts for your broker. Then you're on your own.

Very generous payout 50%. Brokers at Bear usually trade individual stocks, bonds, options, and very little packaged products. A lot of them Place trades for mid market hedge funds.

Since there are only 500 brokers at the firm, you get access to research analyst, traders, floor brokers, etc.

Overall a great firm if you work with HNW & Sophisticated clients.

Hope that helps. Cheers!
