Think again - MS will not survive this market downturn.

I hope they do, but its not looking good. Stock is at 7.75 right now.

The japs are supposed to come up with 9 billion tuesday for a 21% stake. MS’s market cap is 9 billion now. Why would the japs pay 9 billion for 21% of 9 billion? How could the explain away their fiduciary responsibility to their sharholders that we spent 9 bil for 21% of 9 bil? Plus if they get a down grade (perhaps this weekend) they will have to raise umpteen more billion dollars they dont have. Where does one get capital these days? WFC? BAC? C? JPM? who’s left? Not looking good. I have good friends that work there. I pray I’m wrong but uncle sam may may be the proud owner by the end of next week. 

I’m getting an offer from Morgan Stanley next week.  I asked the manager if I can come in early next week to talk salary and he said Wednesday would be better.

Wonder why??? I guess he’s not too sure the mitsubishi deal is going to close.  Scary!!!
