Hello everyone... I have been out of my undergrad finance for a while so all this material is new to me.

I just purchased Kaplan study material with the Qbank.

Would you suggest I go through the whole book first with the unit tests in the book then tackle the Qbank online tests and cummulative tests or do a Qbank test after each unit.

I feel I am wasting too much time on each unit if I do a Qbank test after each one.

For a person that is completely unfimiliar with the material any suggestions on how I should tackle it.

Thanks!

Thank you for the response. I completely agree with you about memorizing the Kaplan material. I feel the Qbank is extremely difficult.

Do you know of any other study aids that might lay the material out more clear for better retention?

Insurance vs. Investment

Hey I just quit my job as an assistant to an FA (long story...) Was thinking of going into the insurance side, and then use it as a leverage to get in the training program of a canadian bank on the investment side. I talked to insurance agents at my old firm, commission seem to be comparable  and the market larger yet it seems the investment side attracts far more applicants.  So what made you choose insurance over invesment?  Did anyone make the transition from insurance to getting investment-liscenced properly?...More
