Recently a journalist from Investment News asked me what I was seeing in the form of leadership trends with advisors. In short I told her two things:

1. Strong leaders have the ability to see the opportunities in a downturn and motivate their firms to reach their full potential.

2. Strong leaders have the ability to institute clear core values, creating reward systems (other than salaries and benefits that might be frozen for now) for their staff to keep them energized.

Please share your tips for being a good leader in this economy.
