I am currently in a PM role, but plan to transition to becoming an advisor.  I'm a big fan of the independent model, and really don't want to join a wirehouse.  At the same time, I feel it's important to go through some sort of training program.  From what I've found, only the wire houses offer a formal training program.  Is this an option for someone starting out in the independent space?
