I have the opportunity to take over a few 401k plans and a 403b plan.  All total, there could be $15 to $20 mil in assets.  I currently work alone, for myself.  First I thought I would take them over and receive a 50bp trail on total assets.  An RIA as approached me with then idea of teaming up with them to win the plans.  However, they only charge 15bp on total assets.  Is a 15bp payout typical on retirement plans that run through RIA's.  I know once you have the plan in office, you have access to all of the participants and their personal business, but is the hassle of running the plan worth it for only 15bps?
