It looks like we are putting together our own regional in my portion of the world. All of the guys that knew each other from Jones and are independent in my neck of the woods are having an Indy Regional. We already have 3 vendors…VA, Mutual Fund and a Privately Held REIT footing the bill. I guess we won’t go over the ICA chart…

That is crazy... all same b/d or different?

Too funny....

Actually different B/D’s, I believe 5 different ones…

Noggin,

If you don’t mind can you talk about how you set it up.  There are several ex-Jonesers around here who would like to do something like that.

They just rented a conference center for the day, called wholesalers and asked if they would foot the bill for a day of activities and then started an email distribution list to get everyone involved. Not a lot of expense involved for the wholesalers and a lot better time spent for them rather than buying a lunch, huh? All kidding aside, that’s how they did it at Jones except Jones controlled the content of the regional.

That’s a great idea.  We had an ex-employee party the first year after a bunch of us left…but not one with sponsors…

How does a guy get an invite?  And NO.  I will not strip.

I was telling one of my friends that is still at jones…he said he wanted to come as the regional meetings in my old region aren’t very fun. I let him know that Jones would not be happy if he did…

ytrewq - Sorry, Jones compliance will likely have to approve.  Have they changed that much that they’d let you go to an indy regional?

But hey, if you can get approval, you’re in!

That would be fun.  Count me in.
