Hello all,
I just got 25 large to be used on my business as I see fit.

What would you do?

Thanks in advance

Buy subprime mortgages at a  50% discount, slice them up, put a triple A rating on them and sell to your neighbors at par.  Don’t thank me…

Targeted Seminars.  It’s the one thing that you can spend heavy money on and get a good return.  If you were further in your career, I would say nice client gifts.  But right now, you need more clients (you’re one year in, right?).  With 25K plus some subsidy from your B/D and wholesalers, you could do a 24 month cycle of high-quality seminars.  Just don’t blow it on office crap, literature, blah, blah.

What do you really need? Technology , staff , training what is going to pay YOUR BUSINESS the best return on your investment. A good starting point?

Rent out a movie theatre monthly.

Do a client appreciation event with chair massages, wine tasting. Invite Bspears for a comedy night. Invite Babs for a bikini contest.

How did you get this and what kind of strings are attached.

I would use a good portion of it on a targeted advertising program with flyers, postcards, letters, media advertising and other constant drip programs combined with a seminar series.   That would probably use up the entire wad.   Anything left over....buy scotch......good scotch.

Find a good coaching program. I would recommend BAI (Bachrach’s Values based Financial planning).  Strategic Coaching is supposed to be really good too.

Actually, I would get EVERY single investor you could find between the ages of 45-65 with over $100k or whatever minimum you want to set and fly in Nick Murray for one of his “Promised Land” hour long speeches.

It costs about $10,000 plus first class airfare and 4 star hotel stay if necessary to bring him out.  If you did this, send me an invitation too, I love listening to him.

Norway,

I was thinking of doing the sandler school but the closest is a 3 hour Dr. I do a lot of option and was going to get Tony Saliba’s course and maybe go to one of the Rainmaker seminars.

Babling,

I got it as a production reward. No strings no taxes but must be used only for business. Sounds like you and B24 think the same.

Now_indy,

I would be all over that as our ‘training’ dept at the home office is a one pony show pretty much.

Snaggs how goes it?

Thank you all for your input

Gaddock glad to assist. On Sandler ( the franchisee in my city ) very successful and does extensive training for a host of subjects on sales and marketing.

Norway,

Yeah it came very highly recommended by a person I hold in very high regard. It's just not logistically in the card being hours away.

Here are some of the top coaching programs:

http://www.strategiccoach.com/    Strategic Coaching http://www.baivbfp.com/               Bachrach & Associates (BAI) http://oechsli.com/                         Oechsli Institute http://www.joinpeak.com/             Ron Carson - Peak Productions http://ww3.paretoplatform.com/    Pareto Platform http://www.cannonfinancial.com/coaching/   http://www.psbtraining.com/          If you are serious about a coach, I would think one of these companies can help you out.  Some of these you can pay by the month ($300 - $2000/month), or by the service/module.
