A question for EdJ'ers. I am a noob with a wire. I've been doing some business cold walking from to time before today.

I cold walked residential for the first time today. I know that EdJ wants their new hires to cold walk with a goal of 25 contacts per day. What constitues a contact? How many doors to contacts on average?

I know the answer cause I am an x broker who no longer runs with that wolf pack.  You need to actually get there name and phone number.  You need a  reason to comback. Learn any details you can on these people names of children etc.  This is a tuff game dont waste your time trying to get minimums.  You need to learn all you can and runn with it.  I would use white pages and reverse search the street and know who your talking to before you even darken there door.  Thats a whole lot of bullsht taken off the table.  There is a lot of tricks to that trade.  Its all in efforts to not have them hang up when you call

Yes. 25 people that you could realistically call back, visit, or put on your "drip" campaign.

Here's some free advice: in most communities (other than retire-type communities), residential doorknocking is most effective between 4-7pm during the week and Saturdays. No point walking around for 6 hours on a Tuesday morning to find 3 people home.
