Asked twice in another thread without any answers, so I figured maybe I should just start a thread.
What resources are you guys using to purchase calling lists? I'm looking to pitch munis and preferreds, so I would need a list of high earner/high net worth households or business owners.
If you aren't purchasing lists, how are you building them?
Does anyone know where to get hands on a corporate directory?
I've seen and heard of guys killing it in the rollover business by simply calling on corporate directories with a pitch like: "Hi, I'm Joe Shmoe with XYZ investments. I'm just calling because I work with a few of your colleagues on retirement planning and was going to be in the building Tuesday. Would you be available for 15-20 minutes if I stopped by to say hi?"
Harmless enough and seems almost too simple to work. Just wondering where to get a good list of direct numbers within a firm.
