Using a starting investment of $100,000,  what are some of the highest paying monthly income investements out there right now?

Invesco had a nice HY Muni fund paying 5% ACTHX, but it’s closed now.

I like American’s Capital Income Builder CBAIX (3.9% SEC yield last time I checked). It’s a little less spicy with interest rate risk, since it’s only about 50% bonds, vs. a straight bond fund.

I also like the JP Morgan Income Builder JNBAX, if you need a ‘name’ investment for a client, but the 30 day SEC is only about 3.5%.

If you’ve never heard it, ask a wholesaler to walk you through the 1-2-3 pitch for either of them.

Could also do a CMO or UIT…you’re gonna have to check your own inventory for that, though.

You could probably build a portfolio with nice dividend stocks getting 5%, but ymmv.

Watch out for leverage.
