We has a great psychologist guest speak at my church today.  He had a great message that made me think about the people I have worked with in the past.  It also made me think of a lot of people on this forum.

In life, there are three kinds of people

#1 The Wise:  These are people who seek knowledge and work daily to improve their own lives and the lives of others.  They are teachable, can take advice, and know that they don’t know everything.  A wise person is not always the most intelligent, experienced, or technically competent person in the room (but they can be).  I would say that on this forum, people like Judge and BondGuy fall into this category.  They are just the wisest.  Associate with them!

#2 The Foolish:  These are the people who think they know everything.  They have an answer for everything.  They rarely admit when they are wrong (if ever).  They know that their way is the right way and the only way.  They will make uninformed, all-inclusive conclusions without proper research (e.g. “Nobody can build a business cold calling these days,” or “If you don’t like EDJ, you are a loser!”)  You can’t get through to these people, so don’t even try.  Ignore them!

#3 The Evil:  These are the people with a serious chip on their shoulder.  They hate you.  They despise you.  They want to see you fail.  Sometimes they will hide their intentions.  Sometimes they will be blatant about it.  Perhaps they weren’t loved enough as children.  Perhaps their self-esteem depends on your failure.  It doesn’t really matter.  It’s not your problem (unless you make so).  Nothing good can come from associating with them or even talking to them.  Avoid them!

#4 The retarded. These people are the ones who know nothing, yet they are in such a high state of denial and unawareness that they trick people into believing that they are “The Wise.”. These people usually do fine for many years, even decades. However they are eventually hit by a bus or accidentally kill themselves with a BB gun. They spend close to a hundred thousand dollars on a MBA, only to begin a career that will not use it.  They start ridiculous posts telling of their daily realizations on life. There is no hope for them. Don’t give them advice or try to argue. For they won’t last long. Not in this career or in life. Pity them!

This is a clear example of #3

Svm is doing a great job of helping me demonstrate my point.  This is turning into a great case study.  As you can see, svm is playing the part of "the evil."

He comes into a thread and openly insults someone he doesn’t even know.  He insults my character and my intelligence. He makes outrageous predictions of my failure and my death.  It is clear that this type of person is selfish and lacking of moral decency.

Svm clearly sees my as a lesser human being.  He thinks I wasted money on my education and that I will never be truly successful in any aspect of life.

Evil people are not content to let “inferior” people live out their lives in peace.  Svm  thinks I am weak, pathetic and unintelligent, so he comes to a thread to insult me and try to bring me down.

That’s the way it is with evil people.  They seek out opportunities to hurt other people.  In this case, it seems he derives his self worth out of demonstrating he is better than people like me.

There is no point in reasoning with people like this because they want to destroy you at all costs.  You will never win with people like this, just as I will never win with svm.

However, I do appreciate him helping me demonstrate my point.

It’s like my high school football coach use to say the morning before “full pads” went on, this is where the cream will rise to the top.  After two days of contact, the depth chart usually changed.  When you hit production period, these types of posts won’t matter.  You will succeed or you won’t, it’s all under your control.

Thank for your comments.  I appreciate your perspective.

It’s always refreshing to hear wisdom from others… whether it’s from coaches, FA’s, psychologists, teachers, garbage men… it doesn’t matter.  Myopia leads to death.

If you are going to brag about your education “MBA2FA” you should at least proofread you posts. Now go prove him wrong with actions and not words.

Folks, again another great example of #3 people.  They will examine everything you do and find fault with you.  You will never win with such people, so don’t even try.  In the example here, I am destined to be a failure because I made a typo on a forum post.

If this type of error makes me a failure, what will he say when I really screw up?  This type of person finds pleasure in tearing you down, making you look stupid, in an effort to build himself up.

this is amazing. You just made my day. I actually laughed out loud. I think we have found our new windy.

Go back and re-read this thread.  This guy is comedy gold.

MBA2FA … You should present this tomorrow at your morning meeting.  I’m sure by now your branch manager has already given you a standing time block to speak about your joint recruitment efforts.

Not sure what church you attend, but every church service I have been to across several different faiths taught that you should come along side these people. You know, the whole "Jesus hung out with the sinners, not the saints", and so-forth.   But you're right, you should probably just avoid all the "evil" people and then post on some random professional board that you think that some of the participants are "evil". Maybe you and that really "great psychologist" could go start some commune in the desert so you don't have to mingle with the unwashed. After all, why would you want to think about anyone but yourself...

Why should I join a commune?  I'm happy to attend one of the largest churches in the country.

Your ignorance of the scriptures and the teachings of Jesus is astounding.

[/quote]   You don't know what you don't know. Quoting some random scripture doesn't change the fact that you are a bigot, something I'm quite sure that your church teaches is one of the worst offenses you could commit. I would confidently say that the "evil" and the "ignorant" want to avoid you as much as you want to avoid them.   The only difference in this case between you and some other hate group is the book you read from, and that you more cleverly veil your contempt for people that don't think the same way as you behind quotes from books you can find at the "inspirational" section of WalMart and cute devotional calenders.

Hahahahahaha! 3rdyrp2, that was awesome.

wow thats just excessive dont you think people?  He started this post with some motivational phrases and everyone is jumping on top of him.

Why dont we calm down and give him a little leeway because I think his post is been interpreted wrongly..... AND honestly he demolished that kid who responded with that Retarded statement......That was hillarious!!
