There's wager going on among some of us on the site and we'd like your help.

When you sit on your thumb do you spin to the left or to the right?

I think it depends on where he is sitting in relation to the equation.

Putsy is obviously a bright guy, but why do we waste our time with him?    His background is pretty obvious.  He started as a wirehouse rep.  He did well in the beginning, but it was mainly with family money.   The firm liked him, but since he couldn't bring in outside assets, he didn't have a good future.  What happens to good, hard working guys who can't cut it in sales?  They go to management.  Putsy spent the rest of his career in different management positions.  He can give a great viewpoint of how things were in the 70's and 80's from a management perspective.  From an advisor's perspective of things now, he's obviously pretty clueless.  Don't blame him.   He's 30 years away from being on the front line and he never succeeded on his own when he was there.  Knowing this information should make it easy to understand his point of view.

I disagree anon, EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME UNLESS YOU COMPARE IT TO A TIME WHEN IT WAS THE SAME.

In a strictly existential sense it is all the same…

Hey, Provocative Put has two entire threads devoted to him.

How many of the rest of you can generate such awe and respect?

Whose your daddy losers?

Oct 26, 2008 4:57 pm

My brain fart–should be “who’s  your daddy losers?”

Using your measure of “awe and respect” Osama Bin Laden must be a really respected guy in the US.

You are being talked about because of the sheer quantity of ignorant posts in so short a period of time.

If you want respect, you have to earn it, Putsy.  Why don’t you start by trying to actually answer one of the many, many posts pointing out your ignorance?  We’re still waiting.

What you take as respect and awe is actually posters pointing out what a douche you are.  Quick question, what is the acceptable net worth cut off for parent/child relationships.  I would like to see if I qualify.

I guess that it's one brain fart combined with a lack of eductation.  It should be, "Who's your daddy, losers?"

Put, a man of opinions, what are your thoughts on Chinussia taking over the world?  Combining forces militarily, making energy deals, hoarding cash and Treasuries…?

I haven’t given it a lot of tought, but you’re right I should.

My spur of the moment reaction is that they were unable to cooperate
with each other when they were both trying to build Communist states I
rather doubt that they’ll coopereate with each other now.

In fact it seems that China would be more likely to form an alliance
with Japan rather than Russia which Putin seems to be trying to steer
back to the cold warrior instead of the free marketeer.
