Anyone else get a letter regarding the lawsuit in Calif.  People vs Edward D Jones?   Evidently it is from the attorneys representing Jones telling me that the Attorney General's office will or may be contacting me.   And a bunch of other stuff.

I was employeed at Jones up until a few years ago but have been Indy since.  Should I be concerned?

Posting this in general forum as well.

Just my personal opinion, but I'd say that if your U-4 is clean and most or all (current & former) California EDJ brokers received that letter from the (AG), you have little or nothing to worry about. I would guess that the (AG) will question you concerning EDJ "company" practices, not "personal" practices.

Your next thought should be if you want to have a your attorney present during questioning to protect your interests.

Finally, after the questioning, don't forget to solicit their business! Why not? They buy bonds, mutual funds, etc. too! (Of course, this would only be appropriate if the questioning doesn't try to implicate you with EDJ.)

Several x-jonsers have already given reports to The California AG…the clock is ticking and it’s counting down…
