I'm so disgusted right now with the clowns that we have elected. We are in a sinking boat and they want to discuss the composition of the water instead of plugging the effing leak.

High Fives, all around!!!! The amnesty bill is dead...for now.

One thing I heard over and over, when politicos were discussing "the merits" of this bill, by both Dems and Republicans, was that we the public weren't listening to them. Well, get this straight in your head Mr./Ms. Congresspersons: It's not our job to listen to you, but rather, it's your job to listen to us!

All of this amnesty bs surrounding this bill reminds me of this joke:

A redneck went to see his doctor to get a vasectomy. His doctor asked why he wanted the procedure. The redneck said, “Well, you know doc, I have 11 kids. Last week I was watching the television and I heard that 1 out of 12 kids today in the US are born Spanish speaking and I DON’T SPEAK SPANISH.”

Should have kept them all out!

That was a pretty funny video, Oldproducer.

If it hadn't been for the power of the internet, youtube, emails and the connectivity that we have today, this bill would have been shoved through in the dark of night.

Just think of how manipulated we have been in the pre-tech ages when our information sources were controlled by just a few outlets.  How many times in the past have we swallowed the lies, hook line and sinker?  We now have the power and access to information that is unprecidented.

Suddenly our "rulers" from both sides realize that they have lost their hold on what tripe we are being fed as news and it scares the beejezus out of them.   Expect them to try to crack down on AM talk radio soon, because it mostly leans to the right or libertarian, with the revival of the "fairness doctrine".  They couldn't compete in that arena with jokes like Air America since no one wanted to listen to it.  The internet and bloggers like Malkin, Powerline, Instapundit, Red State etc are next.

If you can't compete then legislate your inconvenient dissenters out of business.  That's the democratic way.... NOT.  That is fascism.

We need to keep vigilant.  I also expect that this amnesty bill is not really dead, but like the video I linked, will be disected and brought back piece by piece attached to other bills like ticks on a dogs back.  They just hope that we are not paying attention and are distracted by sideshows like Paris Hilton and Anna Nicho......ooooh look a shiney thing!
