Has anyone seen this presented in HD? They showcase 5 Wall St. pros, hedge fund manager, investment bankers, floor traders, etc. Last night they introduced a 25 year old self proclaimed hedgie who turned his $13,000 Bar Mitzvah money into $1.3 Million and is now raising new money.
Sounds interesting, but I don’t go near the tv too much. What channel (at the risk of sounding like a dolt)?
I saw an advertisement about this show on CNBC, unfortunately I don’t
get that station. I read about Tim in Trader Mag. Best 30 under 30. His
story is incredible. I know this is off topic, but I have come to the
conclusion that hedge funds just aren’t that great of an investment. I
have read at least 10 books or so that discuss strictly hedge funds. Of
course there are some tremondous money managers out there. Most of them
are out of their league though. There are 9000 Hedge Funds now, even
though its hard to track returns on them, from what I’ve seen its tough
to beat some of the good mutual funds. They do pay great though for the
money manager.
