Anyone ever get people who call them claiming to have won a multimillion $ lawsuit settlement and schedule an appointment to meet with you then they either never show up, show up and have some lame story that doesn't add up, or claim that the money is going to be paid out "any day now"

What do these people want? other guys in my office have gotten these calls, and I've gotten a couple lately. I'm always skeptical and I don't waste my time with them but I'm wondering who else gets this and what do these people get out of wasting their time and mine?

Sounds like a practical joke. Maybe someone in your office or a competitor. Maybe you Acated-over someone's client and they're getting even.

It could also be people who fall for those scams where someone calls them to tell them they won the Canadian lottery.
