What type of contact do you all recommend with high quality prospects in the months leading up to going independent?

It doesn't seem ideal to transfer accounts in right before you leave, but on the other hand you don't want to pass up the opportunities you have.

Should you pull back a little on your contact with them and them hit em hard when you move?  Focusing now on clients?

Your pertinent thoughts are appreciated.

This is a fine line. Sell yourself. I found some good prospects weeks before moving, I had no problem moving them. Make sure you are not changing the product or process that you sold them on. I sell process not product.

I personally did slow down the new accounts, I still prospected, but tried holding off bringing them in as clients. If you have been a consistant producer your firm knows this is a jump ship signal.
