From now on, any topics or threads that relate to anything that is about particular individuals on this forum, or about anything that is not related to the financial-advisory business or the markets, may and probably will be deleted.

Yes, include an “edit” button.  This is very important, and standard on all other forums I post on.

It is a fine line and speaking for myself, I certainly appreciate the effort to get some control over this board and thank you for deleting the Guests being able to post function as well as deleting many of the obvious trolls.

In the context of business related topics, I would imagine that there will still be some flaming, but as long as it is still on topic, I don't have a problem with that.  Flaming each other (a bit) is sometimes important to help people get a grip.

Many forums that I have participated in have a "Lounge" or "Off topic section" so that people who want to post non relevant (political views, jokes, restaurant recommendations to people who might be going to a convention etc) can do so without cluttering up where people are trying to discuss industry ideas.  Maybe you could consider adding an area for that type of posting?

Thanks again for your moderating of what had become a naked mud wrestling pit.

Newbies can respond to posts, but cannot create their own topics.

There is a newbie board. If newbies cannot start a discussion...?? That defeats the purpose, correct?

btw--Thanks for stepping in.

I still think this is a troll… C’mon within 3 minutes they had a “Lounge” section? This is not the admin- lok at the date joined… Nov 29th 2004…

Could you go over the time line of Newbie, Senior Member, ect., also we have to remember that you could have a senior member with less than two years in the business and a newbie with 20 years in the business–so limiting the topics to senior members alone will not solve the forum problems.  I do believe it needed a little makeup–but this seems like plastic surgery!

Was that the date the forum was created?

Admin,

What's the deal with personal information being leaked?  I read posts that talked about forum members getting IP addresses and personal information.

Is this true, and if so, is the forum secure now?

Thanks.
