Do any of you believe that the NYSE will open earlier for trading? And if that is the case ,who and how will brokers/advisors business models be affected?

IMO opinion they will open a half hour to an hour earlier.  They
keep losing market share in their own securities because more shares
are traded on the third market and regional exchanges.  A lot fo
that happes pre market and after hours, but more and more of it is
during regular trading hours.  Only way the NYSE thinks they can
get the market share back is to open earlier.  New hours will prob
be 8:30 or 9:00 am for the open.  Sucks for guys out west and all
of wall street’s operations departments.  I think the move would
be very un popular to major wall street firms, and they will do their
best to make sure it does not happen…
