The American College charges $600 a module for the CFP, but Kaplan and other companies have similar test prep solutions in the $150-$200/course range.

I called Kaplan to ask questions and they were extremely vague/evasive with me. They could not give me a straight answer to "Is your program designed to be a complete, stand alone, exam prep?"

They kept describing their materials as "aids" and seemed to imply that I should also buy the book from the American College.

Does anyone have experience with the $600 courses provided by The American College? Was it worth the money? Has anyone completed their CFP modules using only the Kaplan guides?
