For those of you utilizing this strategy: how do you decide on satellites, and what is your core asset classes?

Core: I like Global Allocation Funds that focus on total return:

First Eagle Global

American Capital Income Builder

Blackrock Global Asset Alloc

Satellite:

Depends on client (conservative vs. aggressive, age, income needs, etc.)

You can choose your own core bonds funds.

I also use Loomis Strat Income for aggressive/non-cor. bond

Int’l Bonds - Templeton Global Bond

Small cap equity

alternative core fund (I like Ivy Asset Strategy)

US Govie Fund

Emerging Markets Fund (I like American New World because of it’s strategy, though not as aggressive as most pure EmMark funds)

This is not an exclusive list, but a quick list of what I include in many portfolios.
