i work there now…i am also in the process of leaving…if you have a series 6 license and basically want to do some mutual funf business and sell life insurance all day, you may like it…the typical broker is used to offering many more services and working in a much more professional atmosphere…Secondly, it is harder to get the agents to give you “introductions” than they make it seem…Since you are a 1099 independent contractor, EVERYTHING comes out of your pocket and it is very hard to get things going there…they give you $8k(pre-tax and pre-social security deduction) to get started and that is it…THINK LONG AND HARD before you go there…
