Chi-Yu focuses on sophisticated tax and estate planning for high net worth individuals and their families, with an emphasis on minimizing U.S. income, gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer taxes.  Chi-Yu regularly counsels individuals and families in all aspects of the transmission of wealth, including tax-efficient estate planning structures, sophisticated lifetime gifting strategies, the transfer of closely held businesses and charitable giving. Chi-Yu also advises both public charities and private foundations, including applying for and maintaining tax-exempt status and the structuring of charitable gifts.  She also has extensive experience advising fiduciaries in the administration of trusts and estates, including trust decanting and modification.
