Apparently, there are a lot of aging hippies-turned-hedge fund managers out there. Consider “Hedgestock 2006,” a summer-of-love-themed “festival of networking” for hedge fund managers, traders and investors to be held in Hertfordshire, England this summer. The two-day event, sponsored by Wall Street giants including Merrill Lynch, UBS Investment Bank, Barclays Capital and Goldman Sachs International, will feature aging rocker Roger Daltrey, who is scheduled to play a “kick-asset” rock concert on Wednesday, June 7. Attendees are also invited to the Sound of Music sing-along and the “romp in a wimple” on the evening of June 8. Sounds groovy! All proceeds will go to fund the Teenage Cancer Trust. Check out the Web site here: hedgestock.co.uk/2006/
